We are The Honorable Lord Rónán of Keyth and Lady Meadhbh Ramsay, residents of the
Barony of Sternfeld and dedicated servants of the Middle Kingdom. We would beg your Majesties' indulgence as we submit our names for consideration for the next Baron and Baroness Sternfeld.
Rónán has resided in Sternfeld for eight years and in this time, has ever sought to serve his barony, his kingdom, and the society. He has been a baronial officer for the past eight years: he was property master for over seven years and recently took on the duties of Seneschal when our previous officer needed to step down unexpectedly. And here, perhaps, is his greatest quality, Whatever the need be, ask it of him and he will ensure that the need is met. He is frequently found assisting both friends and strangers in setting up their encampments, running fundraisers in many forms (including SALT: Sternfeld Auxiliary Lunch Tavern, an on-demand event lunch service), assisting and coordinating in baronial camp improvements, and much more. In addition to his Award of Arms, Purple Fret, and an Augmentation of Arms for serving on the 50 Year Event staff, he was awarded The Dragon's Heart in July, anno societatis 52, He is protégé to Master Torquil MacGillavrey, O.P., M.O.D.
Rónán is an avid feast chef and when seeking him at an event, the first question asked is inevitably, "Have you checked the kitchens?" Whether planning the feast or simply chopping onions, he has volunteered his skills in nearly every barony of the kingdom as well as those in neighboring realms. His astounding food is frequently accompanied by his own brewing and vinting efforts - he is especially renowned for his limoncello cordial.
Known to the modern world as Christopher Sweets, Rónán is a systems administrator for educational software programs, an avid gamer, and is a passionate problem solver. He uses his knowledge and skills in acting as one of the administrators for the inter-kingdom Youth And Family Achievement Program (YAFA)..
(Meadhbh has been a member of Sternfeld for four years and has a fervent devotion for serving her barony. Meadhbh is perhaps best known as a scribe. She is currently serving as Baronial Signet and Deputy Regional Signet. In this capacity, she has coordinated scribal workdays. She was honored beyond words in September, anno societatis 52, to receive the Award of the Willow for her scribal work as well as an augmentation of arms for her contribution of twenty-five scrolls to the reign of William and Isolde. Meadhbh is also known for the wooden peg dolls which she paints as gifts, especially for those given as youth gifts at baronial events and as gifts for Conal Claus to give away at Christmas Tourney, anno societatis 51 and 52, as prizes for Midrealm Travel fund auctions, and as an investiture gift for Baron Fergus and Baroness Maggie of Shadowed Stars.
(Meadhbh is currently serving as Sternfeld's Interim Chatelaine as the officer who holds the position needed to step back. She has also served as Gate Coordinator for many Kingdom events and as Event Steward for two baronial events. One of her strongest skills is that of organization and project management, which have proved invaluable in such endeavors as: acting as comptroller for the baronial encampment's fees, overseeing volunteers at events, organized the Roman Superhero Garb Challenge at A Simple Day in the Country (A.S. 50), and many others. She is protégé to Mistress Moira MacGillavrey, O.P.
In her modern life, Meadhbh is known as Molly (Wible) Sweets and is a ticketing systems administrator for the Indiana Repertory Theatre and has worked in patron services for almost twenty years. A life-long resident of Indiana (and Indianapolis resident of twenty-eight years), she is the picture of Hoosier Hospitality, whether hosting game nights, arranging dinners out for the barony, coordinating gift exchanges both at work and in social life, and much more. Her knowledge of her homeland is expansive and she is dedicated to improving the city and state she calls home as well as her barony and kingdom.
If chosen as Baron and Baroness, our primary focus will be the acquisition of new members to the barony and the retention of our current active populace. In addition to our weekly fighter practices and intermittent special interest group meetings, we will have informal meetings at coffee houses, restaurants, and other locations through Sternfeld's lands to allow current and new members a chance to get to know us, to ask questions about the Society, and to meet others who share their interests, In addition, we will focus on supporting the current members of the barony while encouraging them to branch out and try new activities as the opportunity arises. Part of this effort will focus on improving accessibility and inclusion for all, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion, those with mobility needs, or any other criteria. We have an amazing baronial populace with a wide array of interests and it is crucial to recognize them: a barony with a large and happy populace will brighten and better serve its kingdom.
